How long have you been in business?
We started in July of 1993
What is your primary product or service?
We give one-on-one, private instruction on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bluegrass banjo and electric bass guitar.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started out by teaching in music stores. Spent 10 years teaching for the world famous Mel Bay, author and publisher of many instruction books and methods.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We only hire experienced, professional teachers with a combination of formal education, performing and teaching credentials. All of our studios are soundproofed. We use a wide variety of teaching tools including books, DVDs, slowing down recordings and hands on instruction
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Right now we have only 1 location.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We're on Clinton Place, a side street in downtown Kirkwood. If you're going South on Kirkwood Road (Lindbergh), Clinton is the street immediately after you pass Taco Bell. If you're going north, we're 1/2 block past the Magic House after you cross Woodbine.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and PayPal.
Which areas do you service?
Most of our students are from mid-county, Kirkwood, DesPeres, Crestwood, Affton, Glendale, Webster Groves, Oakland and Valley Park.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Bob Lucas is the owner.
What are your hours of operation?
Lessons are available Monday through Saturday by appointment. Morning, afternoon and evening time slots are available during the week, and Saturday hours are from 10:00am until 3:30pm.
