After over 30 years as an insurance professional, Dave Mathenia started this independent agency in 2011.
What is your primary product or service?
We are an independent insurance agency, writing all lines of insurance including auto, home, life, small business, workers comp, and much more.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our agents come to us with experience in several "captive" insurance companies. We have found that we can provide a better customer experience to our clients when we have over 20 insurance companies to choose from instead of just one.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At Mathenia Insurance Group, we pride ourselves on being able to provide the best customer service and the best price for any situation. With our choice of companies to shop, we can truly provide a concierge service, making sure each and every customer has the best coverage at the best price.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one centrally located office in St Peters.

We're approximately 1/2 mile north of Highways 94/364 on the east side of Jungermann, next to Olympia Auto & Tire.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept most forms of payment and have many payment plans available.
Which areas do you service?
We serve the entire states of Missouri and Illinois, concentrating in the St Louis Metropolitan Area.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our agency is a Limited Liability Corporation, Dave Mathenia is the managing member.
What are your hours of operation?
We're open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., other hours by appointment.
